The region, the municipality, local initiatives should be participated in cross-border programs and projects to gain maximal effectiveness. The European Comission has born an association for cross-border cooperation (EVtZ) to advance the cooperation.Moreover the Weinviertel is a member of the Arbeitgemeinschaft Europäischer Grenzregionen (AGEG) to improve a better  communication.
